Antique bronze mirror & elegant glass lamp – Rococo / Louis XVI style
A notably decorative ensemble of an antique oval bronze mirror and a richly worked glass lamp, both crafted in classic French style.
The mirror dates from the second half of the 19th century and is richly adorned with rocailles, floral ornaments and a beautiful winged putto/Cupido with a bow. The old mirror glass shows the characteristic fine lines and natural aging that give the whole piece a lot of charm.
The matching glass lamp is executed in Louis XVI / neoclassical style, with ornate metal mounts, fluted columns, rosettes and gracefully cut/engraved star decorations in the glass.
A very atmospheric and unusual duo, beautifully suited as a focal point in a classical, eclectic or maximalist interior. Both pieces are offered together.
