Labelled Jacobus Stainer - - Violin - Germany (No reserve price)

Labeled antique 4/4 violin. As the photos shows - It’s a repair-project. Labeled inside with the text: Jacobus Steiner in Absam Prope Oeniponrum 1665. The Sound post is standing inside the violin, as the photo shows (see the grey arrow. Surface wear of use. One old crack was repaired (see the photos with the grey arrow). New strings, etc., need to be fitted. Otherwise in fair condition. Factory burn mark on the backside with “Stainer”. The violin is 59 cm long. Case measures: 35,5 cm long, 17,5 cm wide and 5,2 cm high. Weight: 445 grams.
