Andrea Favero was born in San Zenone degli Ezzelini, in the province of Treviso, on March 26, 1837. A pupil of the Accademia di Venezia, he debuted in 1856 at the Esposizione Veneziana, presenting the painting Atrio Moresco, awarded a gold medal. He took part in the Mostra Marchigiana in 1871 and in the Esposizione Industriale di Mantova in 1878. In 1900 at the Exposition Universelle in Paris he won the Grand Prize; in the same year at the Esposizione di Milano he won a gold medal. He favored genre scenes, architectural views, and portraits, using both oil and watercolors.
Among his best-known works we recall: La scuola obbligatoria, Battistero del Duomo di Messina, Colpito dal fulmine, I tre amici, La sosta, Il gioco della trottola.
Andrea Favero died in Como on June 10, 1914.

Andrea Favero was born in San Zenone degli Ezzelini, in the province of Treviso, on March 26, 1837.
