Jardinière - Earthenware - Iridescent fish jardinière

This fish-shaped table planter (or cache-pot) features a sweeping silhouette of a fish emerging from green waves, a classic design from the 1950s-1960s. Based on its style and glaze, this piece is highly reminiscent of the earthenware productions from the famous Belgian pottery house Hubert Bequet in Quaregnon. It showcases a beautiful iridescent luster finish with gold and purple metallic reflections typical of that factory's output. This is an elongated, lightweight piece weighing 500 g, measuring 33 cm in length, 12 cm in height, and 9 cm in width. The mold number 705 is stamped under the base, alongside tiny remnants of an original silver paper sticker where the letters "BH" (or "HB" upside down) can still be seen. It is in very good overall vintage condition with vibrant colors. While it is shaped like a fish, it will definitely look its best staying perfectly dry on a retro sideboard.
