Nicole Lubbers - The way i trust XL

Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country. She is known for her innovative and idiosyncratic approach to art and works with different styles, techniques and forms of imagery. In her work color, movement, expression and emotion play an important role. Themes such as resilience, strength, transformation and overcoming challenges regularly form the inspiration for her creations.

Her international career has developed strongly in recent years. Lubbers was proclaimed Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro and achieved second place at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. Additionally she was listed among the 100 best female artists in the world and recognized as Master in Art.

Internationally her work has been seen and planned for exhibitions in New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China and Montecosaro, alongside exhibitions in Dutch galleries.

A notable highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. In addition, Nicole presents together with artist Michael Lam the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Two different artistic worlds come together here and form a joint dialogue around movement, color, creativity and transformation.

This artwork is a digital artwork, designed by Nicole Lubbers and high-quality printed on canvas. It does not involve mixed media and the canvas is not hand-painted or retouched.

Delivery and presentation

The artwork is delivered without a frame and without a float frame. You receive the canvas carefully rolled, so you can determine how you want to present the artwork yourself.

You can have the canvas framed or stretched on a professional framer’s stretcher frame.

Important when stretching: please note that for stretching the canvas at least 5 cm extra canvas on each side is required. This edge is necessary to fold and secure the fabric properly around the stretcher frame. Therefore, when determining the final size, keep in mind an additional margin of at least 5 cm on the top, bottom, left and right sides.

In addition to her work as a visual artist, Nicole Lubbers is also known as a doll maker.
