Nicole Lubbers - Love X:

Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country. She is known for her innovative and independent approach to art and works with various styles, techniques and visual forms. In her work color, movement, expression and emotion play an important role. Themes such as resilience, strength, transformation and overcoming challenges regularly inspire her creations.

Her international career has developed strongly in recent years. Lubbers was proclaimed Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro and placed second at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. She was also counted among the 100 best female artists in the world and recognized as Master in Art.

Internationally her work has been seen and planned for exhibitions in New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China and Montecosaro, alongside exhibitions in Dutch galleries.

A particular highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. Additionally, Nicole, together with artist Michael Lam, presents the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Two different artistic worlds come together and form a joint dialogue around movement, color, creativity and transformation.

The artwork is delivered without a frame and without a gallery frame. You will receive the canvas carefully rolled, so you can determine how you want to present the artwork.

You can, for example, have it reframed or stretched by a professional framer on a gallery stretcher.

Important when stretching: please note that for stretching the canvas you need at least 5 cm extra canvas on each side. This margin is necessary to fold and secure the fabric to the gallery frame. Therefore, when determining the final size, allow for at least 5 cm extra margin on the top, bottom, left and right.

In addition to her work as a visual artist, Nicole Lubbers is also known as a doll maker.
