The work brings together two classical authors and two distinct corpora:
• the Bucolics and Georgics of Publius Vergilius Maro, translated into Italian (the Georgics by Francesco Soave);
• the poems of Catullus, translated by Agostino Peruzzi (with pieces also by Saverio Broglio d’Ajano).

Venetian edition by Antonio Zatta, printed “con licenza de’ Superiori e privilegio.” Text in an elegant typeface, with titles and sections clearly highlighted.

Rare and sought-after eighteenth-century edition that unites in a single volume two pillars of Latin poetry (Virgil’s pastoral/agricultural themes and Catullus’s lyric-epigrammatic pieces) in Italian translations of the period.
