AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Gothic chest with an Arcadian pattern on the front.
Late 16th century and later.
Gothic is a universal style, therefore it's difficult to indicate in which Western European country this piece of furniture was made.
My impression: Flanders or the Netherlands, but it could also be France.
Gothic furniture is very rare and usually parts have been restored or added, but this chest has remained completely original. Also the base.

The hinges have worn thin from long use and on the right, in the joint, the wrought iron is worn through.
Opens carefully.
I could add an extra support hinge.
But I won't do that now because it would count toward the museological value; the future owner would surely have an opinion about it and a different preference.

It could be that this piece of furniture recently stood in a monastery, because in such an environment things stay more out of time.

Offers below the limit will not be honored.
Prices are very reasonable — I enjoy selling to people who appreciate it.

I ship only to EU countries.
Buyers from other countries must arrange their own transport.
You will receive the order details from me.
That can be with UPS, GLS, FedEx and DHL, among others.
You will receive a label from your carrier and email it to me.
I can advise you.
