Two Chinese porcelain tea cups from the Kangxi period (ca. 1700), each about 8 cm across, with an inside HC monogram and outside stylised peony decoration, jade symbol mark in a double circle on the base, authentic Original and in reasonable to good condition.

2 Chinese porcelain cups, marked –China- Kangxi period ca. 1700.

On offer are 2 interesting cups, dating to the Kangxi period. On the inside of the cups there is a monogram with the European letters HC depicted as a family monogram. A rare early form of “Chine de commande”. The monogram is encircled by a wreath of twigs. The outside of the cups are decorated with stylized standing peony flowers. At the rims of both cups a continuous branch with leaves. On the underside the cups are marked with a jade symbol mark, in a double circle. Rare interesting examples! Provenance: From the private collection of a deceased collector from North Holland.

Date: Kangxi period 1662-1722 ca. 1700.

Size: Cups measure ca. 8 cm across.

Condition: Reasonable to good. Cup 1: Some small chips at the rim, no hairlines. Cup 2: has been restored (invisible glued from 2 broken parts) and has a small shallow rim chip.

Will be packed very well and shipped with registered track/trace with insurance. Combined shipping possible, we return postage costs.
