Jadeite jade pendant Bi disk lotus carving –China- 20th Century
On offer is a round shaped grey-white jadeite jade pendant made in the Chinese taste. The pendant has a relief carving of lotus flowers on both sides. The pendant is made of glossy and semi-translucent jadeite jade. There are no visual impurities. It is very smooth and soft on the touch. Has been identified as jadeite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. All our jade is obtained in China. Very suitable as an addition to your high valued collection or to present as a gift! Please see test results and pictures.
BI (pronounced “bee”) is a Chinese flattened disk made of jade or stone with a circular hole in the middle. Bi are found in elite burials since the Neolithic period.
