Albert Dasnoy (1901–1992) was a Belgian painter, draftsman, writer and art critic. He pursued his artistic training at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, where he received a classical education that formed an important foundation for his later artistic career.

Dasnoy remained throughout his career largely faithful to figurative painting. He painted, among other things, landscapes, still lifes, portraits and interiors. His work is characterized by balanced compositions, restrained color use and a calm, sometimes melancholic atmosphere. He paid much attention to light, form and the simple beauty of everyday subjects.

In addition to his work as a visual artist, Dasnoy was active as a writer and art critic. He published about art and artists and thereby also played a role within the Belgian cultural life of the twentieth century.
