Chinese pale white nephrite jade amulet pendant Chilong -China- 20th Century
On offer is a good carved Chinese pale white nephrite jade amulet or pendant. It is carved from very good quality light-green white jade, with a crawling chilong or baby dragon. The smooth-bodied chi-dragon has a flat head, a split tail that end in volutes and bulging eyes. The back side is shaped as a big ring. This thick amulet or pendant has nice details and a shiny appearance. It comes with a cord for hanging which can be removed if desired. A Good example made according Chinese taste.
Has been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color. Provenance: This jade comes from inland China. A Good jade, suitable as an addition to your high-end collection or to present as a gift! Please see test results and pictures.
