Jean Beauchesne is a French painter born in Paris in 1924.
Primarily active during the second half of the 20th century, his style ranges from traditional floral still lifes to markedly more abstract experiments.
His technique regularly incorporates textured mixtures of materials, using oil, sand and pigments on canvas.
His works, such as Autre terre (1959), have been represented by renowned Parisian galleries such as Berri Lardy et Cie and sometimes appear in international collections such as that of the Dallas Museum of Art.
