Important details
This edition combines multiple complications on one classic Master Collection dial. The calendar information is spread over several zones, while the moonphase is integrated at 6 o’clock.
The date is read via a central pointer with a crescent-shaped tip on a scale of 1 to 31 around the outer edge of the dial. At 12 o’clock are the day and month windows. The subdial at 9 o’clock includes the 24-hour indication, while the moonphase is housed at 6 o’clock.
The chronograph is operated via the two pushers on the right side of the case.

Year of construction
Year of construction: 2023
The year of construction is known for this piece and the International Warranty card is part of the delivered set.
──────────────────
Case
The round case is made of stainless steel and has a diameter of 40 mm.
The case is predominantly high-gloss polished and features the characteristic rounded Master Collection profile with elegant, slightly curved lugs.
The slim polished bezel leaves relatively ample space for the dial, allowing the extensive calendar and chronograph display to stand out despite the large number of functions.
On the right side are:
– the Longines-signed crown
– chronograph pushers above and below the crown
On the side of the case there is also a recessed corrector for setting the calendar functions.
The polished surfaces show light signs of wear and fine hairlines that suit normal careful use. No noticeable heavy dents are visible.
──────────────────
Dial
The silver-colored dial features a fine guilloché/barleycorn texture typical of many classic Master Collection models.
The dial includes:
– large black Arabic hour numerals
– blued feuille-style hands for hours and minutes
– central chronograph seconds hand
– central date hand with crescent-shaped tip
– day and month window at 12 o’clock
– chronograph and 24-hour indications
– moonphase at 6 o’clock
– date ring from 1 to 31
– fine minute scale along the outer edge
– LONGINES winged hourglass logo
– AUTOMATIC designation
– SWISS MADE
The blued hands provide a clear contrast against the light dial and change from nearly black to bright blue depending on the lighting.
The dial is in very well-kept condition. Inscriptions, scales and guilloché texture are clearly and sharply preserved.
──────────────────
Complete calendar
The watch features an extended calendar display.
Day: window at 12 o’clock
Month: window at 12 o’clock
Date: central date hand and 1–31 scale around the dial
24-hour indication: integrated in the subdial at 9 o’clock
The calendar functions are spread across the dial without losing the model’s classic character.
──────────────────
Moonphase
Moonphase display at 6 o’clock.
The blue sky with a gold-colored moon and stars forms a striking detail against the otherwise silver/white dial. The moonphase is combined with the bottom subdial.
──────────────────
Chronograph
In addition to the calendar functions, this model has a mechanical chronograph.
The chronograph is operated with the two pushers on either side of the crown. The central thin hand is used for the chronograph seconds, while the elapsed time is shown on the corresponding subdial.
Thus, the L2.673.4 combines a classical full calendar with a full automatic chronograph.
──────────────────
Movement
Through the transparent case back, the automatic Longines movement is visible.
The rotor is engraved with:
LONGINES
winged hourglass logo
L678.2
The movement is decoratively finished and the rotor bears the gold-colored Longines signature.
Caliber: Longines L678.2
Type: automatic mechanical
Frequency: 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour
Base: ETA/Valjoux 7751 family
Functions: time, chronograph, day, date, month, 24-hour indication and moonphase
This piece thus belongs to the earlier generation of the L2.673.4 with the L678.2 movement. This is important because later editions of the same Master Collection Chronograph Moonphase reference family have been equipped with newer Longines calibers.
──────────────────
Timegrapher measurement
The watch was measured mechanically with the following values:
Rate deviation: +4 seconds per day
Amplitude: 339°
Beat error: 0.1 ms
Lift angle: 52.0°
Frequency: 28,800 A/h
This is a snapshot in the measured position. The values do not constitute a warranty of daily accuracy in different wearing positions or the future mechanical state of the movement.
──────────────────
Crystal
The watch features sapphire glass.
The glass is clear and the dial is easy to read. There are no notable heavy damages to the glass.
──────────────────
Crown and pushers
The grooved crown bears the Longines winged hourglass logo.
Above and below the crown are the polished chronograph pushers. The control elements aesthetically match the classic polished case.
recessed correctors are integrated into the case for various calendar adjustments.
──────────────────
Case back
The back is fitted with a transparent case back, allowing the automatic movement and rotor to be visible.
Around the sapphire crystal are the usual Master Collection markings in the steel rim.
The case back and polished parts show light normal signs of use and hairlines.
──────────────────
Bracelet
The watch is mounted on a black Longines leather strap with crocodile pattern and contrasting white stitching.
On the inside are, among others, the Longines signature and size marking 21.
The strap shows normal wear, with slight shaping and wear around the holes used, but presents itself neatly.
The current configuration fits a wrist circumference of approximately 19–20 cm, depending on the selected hole.
──────────────────
Clasp
The strap is equipped with a Longines-branded metal folding clasp with the winged hourglass logo.
The polished clasp shows light scratches and hairlines consistent with normal use.
──────────────────
Water resistance
The model specification is 3 bar / 30 meters.
With a used watch, the current water resistance cannot be guaranteed based on the original factory specification. A pressure test is recommended before exposing the watch to water.
──────────────────
