This type of tall plant table was especially popular in the 20th century as a compact way to present houseplants and decorative objects at eye level. Similar vintage models from around the 1950s–70s feature four slim legs, a small square top, and an open, light construction.

This piece has a particularly attractive square top with a decorative wavy/profiled edge. The four straight legs are connected by horizontal rails, giving the piece a beautiful open and balanced silhouette. The white paint enhances the country, French and cottage vibe and here and there allows the dark substrate to show through.

The table is excellently suited for use as a plant table, flower stand, pedestal, side table, or display for ceramics, a sculpture or vase. Such slender plant tables are still valued today for their small floor footprint and their decorative height.

Condition
In good decorative vintage condition with clear signs of use and age as visible in the photos. The white paint shows localized wear, small damages, scratches and spots where the dark underlayer is visible. Also along the edge of the top there are signs of use. These marks give the table an attractive authentic patina and a well-worn quirky charm.
