Herman Goossens was a Belgian sculptor, draftsman and painter, active in Ghent in the first half of the 20th century.

He focused mainly on human figures and portraits. Works by Goossens were included in the Annuaire des Beaux-Arts of 1950–1951, and he is listed in Piron’s Belgian artists' lexicons.

The work is in good condition and signed and dated lower right.
