Description from the seller
Everything here is borrowed clothing. The oversized men's shirt, the tie still tied but loosened, speak of a masculine presence absent from the frame: the woman's body carries the other’s story. The grazing, golden light does not caress — it questions, like a spotlight slowed down. On the wall, the small painting openly cites the aesthetics of American solitude and operates in a double frame: an image of isolation inside an image of intimacy. The glass of whiskey and the ashtray set the scene of a time already consumed. The woman's downcast gaze is not modesty but thought. The oriental rug, warm and teeming, anchors the scene in the domestic while theatricalizing it.
Characteristics of the work:
Signature: Hand-signed by the artist in front of and on the back of the work.
Technique: Giclée print on canvas, using high-quality pigment printing for faithful reproduction of details and colors.
Edition: Limited to 20 copies, individually numbered.
Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm.
Framing: Delivered ready to frame, according to your preferences.
Authenticity: Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Shipping: Shipped from France, with secure packaging to ensure delivery in perfect condition.
About the artist:
LeYack (born 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern narration with pictorial heritage.
