FRENCH:
Refined vintage rectangular jewelry or storage box in black lacquered wood.
The lid is enhanced by a superb Japanese-inspired scene richly detailed, executed in polychrome and gilding. It features three figures in traditional kimono (geishas and child) moving through a landscaped setting with a garden, pavilion and floral motifs.
Notable details: Presence of a serial/model number "1411" molded in relief inside the bottom. The interior is equipped with its original brass mechanical latch.

Condition report: Object in good vintage condition. The lacquer retains a nice shine. Light crazing and micro-wear to the gilding on the lid are visible, attest­ing to its authenticity and age (see detailed photos).
