Description from the seller
A particularly decorative duo from the Soviet porcelain tradition: two sculptural pitchers whose bodies are completely formed from relief grape clusters. The deep cobalt blue, the white porcelain, and the richly applied gilding give these pitchers a strikingly luxurious character. This Lomonosov decorative pitcher (often referred to as the Lomonosov Grape Decanter / Pitcher) is a very well-known and cherished vintage collectible. The pitcher is entirely molded in the relief of a full bunch of grapes resting in a white woven basket. The leaves and the spout form the top, and the handle is stylized as a grapevine. Executed in the characteristic deep cobalt blue (Cobalt Blue) combined with white porcelain and finished with rich 22-karat gold accents. The model “Grapes / Гроздь винограда” is attributed to designer S. E. Yakovleva and was manufactured by the Leningrad Porcelain Factory (LFZ / Lomonosov) in Saint Petersburg. The body is plastically modeled with full grapes, complemented by large wine leaves, a braided basket motif around the base, and gold accents along the leaf veins, spout, handle, and edges.
Specifications:

Model: Grapes / Grape Cluster.
Designer: S. E. Yakovleva.
Origin: USSR, Leningrad / present-day Saint Petersburg.
Dating: circa 1960–1980.
Material: hard porcelain.
Decoration: cobalt blue, white and gilded details.
Style: Soviet decorative porcelain / Mid-Century, sculptural and classical.
Quantity: 2 pitchers + 1 original stopper.
Pitcher height: approx. 21 cm.
Width: approx. 23 cm.
Bust circumference: approx. 47 cm.
Stop height: approx. 8 cm.
Marked bottom: LFZ – MADE IN USSR.
Condition:
Excellent condition. The pitchers are unused and have been very carefully preserved, with only minimal age-related signs. The glaze has a wonderful deep shine and the gilded decoration is particularly well preserved. There is one original stopper included; therefore the pair is intentionally offered as decorative art objects, not as two complete practical carafes.
Due to their generous size and strong three-dimensional relief, they are especially suitable as eye-catchers in a display cabinet, on a console, sideboard, or luxurious tray.
Shipping:
Both objects and the separate stopper are packed separately and very carefully, with extra protection around the spouts, handles, and relief decorations. Tracking shipment.
