3) Cute vintage souvenir box from Echternach, Luxembourg.

Details:
On the lid: Hand-painted coat of arms of Luxembourg with crown and the red lion
Text: "Echternach" at the top
Decor: Golden background with painted flowers and leaves around
Material: Wood with a front latch
Inside: Plain wood, empty

State: Good vintage condition with normal signs of use for age. Comes with a key

4) Technique: No painting, but real wood inlay. Thin strips of Thuya root, lemonwood (light) and ebony / palisander (dark) plus sometimes bone. All those small triangles and eight-pointed stars are inlaid one by one. In Iran this is called Khatam, in Morocco it is simply marquetry or taros work.
Pattern: That large octagon with all the tiny David stars inside - that is the classic Essaouira pattern, they call it "wooden zellige" - same pattern as the tiles.
