Zenith Compur – Vintage manual wind chronograph
Description
Zenith wristwatch, model "Compur", produced probably between the late 1940s and early 1950s. Dial with two sub-dials and tachymetric/telemetric scales.
Working, in good overall condition considering age with the usual signs of wear (slight scratches on the case and screw-down back, small oxidations on the dial, glass with a few surface marks). No long-term functioning guarantee — service recommended by a trusted watchmaker. Sold as seen in the photographs.
Dial
Cream/silver-tone background with patina (slight oxidation spots typical of the era)
Signature "ZENITH" and "COMPUR"
Arabic numerals at 12 and 6, baton markers for other hours
Blue-steel hands
30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock
Continuous seconds counter at 9 o’clock
External tachymeter scale ("Base 1000") and telemeter scale
Case
Enversteel steel (historic brand for stainless steel of the era), 37mm diameter
Snap-back with engraving "ZENITH – ENVERSTEEL" and reference numbers 839574 / 22434
Crown and chronograph pushers integrated into the case
Plexiglass crystal, with normal signs of use and some scratches

Manual-wind Zenith caliber 156, two-register chronograph
Movement serial number: 164412
Open-worked movement with balance, hairspring and bridges finished, well preserved
