La chute, an oil on canvas by Nils Obel (1937–2018) from Denmark, hand-signed, 81 × 134 cm, original edition, dating to the 1990s, sold by Galerie in excellent condition.

Nils OBEL (1937-2018)
He studied art in Copenhagen (M. Anderson School) and then continued his studies in Paris, at the École de la Grande Chaumière.
Very early interested in drawing, painting and the representation of the natural world. A devotee of the sea and marine life, he often depicted fish, marine scenes or compositions influenced by the marine environment
Life in the United States
Nils Obel settled in the United States in 1980. He is known for works that blend a high level of scientific precision in the representation of nature (fish, marine organisms, etc.) with artistic sensitivity.
In 1976, he received a commission from Royal Copenhagen for a line of porcelain based on a set of his paintings.
Some of his works have been exhibited in many galleries and museums in Europe and the United States. For example, he participated in the Ocean Planet exhibition at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C.
He lived in Maine, more precisely in Camden
