This is an original artwork created by Utopia through the artistic modification and transformation of an existing sculpture. The original sculpture was acquired by the artist and subsequently modified, painted and completely reinterpreted by Utopia as part of his own artistic practice.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Utopia, also known as Oliveiros Junior, is a Brazilian self-taught street artist whose artistic journey began in São Paulo within the graffiti and hip-hop culture of the 1990s.

His artistic practice combines graffiti, street art, painting and sculpture, using spray paint, acrylic, airbrush and mixed-media techniques. His distinctive visual language is characterized by vibrant colours, expressive characters, powerful contrasts, layered textures and spontaneous painterly gestures.

Over the years, Utopia’s work has expanded from street walls into galleries, private collections, canvas and sculptural objects. His artworks have been presented in several countries, including Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Croatia, Israel and the United States.
