Sculpture by XTC titled Mc Caviar Bleu paille B/W socle doré, handmade from plastic with a glass dome and metal elements, edition 2/30 dated 2026, measuring 26 cm high by 15 cm wide by 15 cm deep, signed by hand and in Excellent condition with COA.
Description from the seller
Mc Caviar Blue Cone with its black and white straw on a bright golden stand by XTC.
Plastic sculpture handmade and hand-painted by the Artist XTC using polyethylene, resin, and acrylic paints and varnishes. The edition number applies to the sculpture fully realized by the artist and not to the glass cloche.
Probably XTC's most iconic work to date, in blue and gold version.
A détournement (reinterpretation) of the McDonald’s cone, a future luxurious dish in a fast-food version? Not so impossible!
This is not a McDonald’s cardboard cone; it was created from plastics and painted by XTC.
The glass cloche is an integral part of the work.
Signed and numbered 1/30 below, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
(The copy sent is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar and unique)
Careful and tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration turned into a passion that had to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement, through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne or even Caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration among others from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey and advertising and addictions in general.
All possible defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
HAND-MADE
