This famous poster is the work of Salustiano García, a renowned Spanish painter highly sought after. It is the official large poster for Seville's Holy Week 2024, issued by the General Council of Brotherhoods and Cofradías of the city of Seville, with the council's official shield and the logo of the collaborating entities at the bottom. Also there is the logo of the main sponsor, the Fundación Caja Rural del Sur.
It was a very controversial poster that almost came off circulation because, according to its numerous detractors, the aesthetics of the Christ figure were very effeminate, sexualized, and disrespectful to Christian traditions.
Due to popular pressure it was withdrawn from many venues, and in others it never ended up being displayed.
This poster is very scarce and highly coveted by collectors and investors.
