Pal ( Jean de Paleologu ) - Déesse – manifesto biciclette Belle Époque - 1970s

Striking advertising poster “Déesse – 16 Rue Halevy, Paris,” dedicated to the Déesse bicycles and Kosmos tires.

Note well: This is a later edition probably from the 1970s.

The composition, with strong scenographic impact, depicts an allegorical female figure triumphantly lifting a bicycle above the crowd, standing out against a fiery sunset over the Paris skyline, with the Eiffel Tower visible on the horizon. The scene below, animated by cyclists and spectators, conveys energy, modernity, and the fervor of fin-de-siècle Paris.

The poster unites symbolism, celebration of technical progress, and powerful advertising—elements typical of late 19th-century French billboard art. The warm, theatrical color rendering makes the work highly decorative and evocative.

Ideal for Belle Époque graphic collectors, cycling posters, vintage advertising, and Parisian culture enthusiasts.
