Antoine d'Averoult - FLORES EXEMPLORUM, Author R.P. Antonio Dauroultio Societatis Iesu, Priest, Or A CATECHISM HISTORICAL: A Work Rich in Faith, Diligence, and Many Years of Study, Collected from the Holy and Secular Writers, in a Most Extensive Mape of Forty-Eive Amplis (Quiventi?) with Prolific Notes by Holy and Secular Authors. In This the Catholic Faith Is Miraculously Confirmed by Numerous Examples, and by Examples of Saints, Emperors, Kings, Princes, and Illustrious Men: annotated throughout with its own authors and locations. The Last Edition, enlarged with miracles and examples from chronicles and annual letters of the Jesuit Society, by more recent historical accounts, with a quadruple Index Added: of Authors, Chapters, Matters, and the principal Saints. - Kinchius, Coloniae Agrippinae [KEULEN], 1624 - 4 parts in 1 volume - early print - (50) + 276 / 355 / 286 / 242 + (14) pp. - original blind-stamped calfskin leather binding (so-called Renaissance binding with panelled lines and floral motifs) on oak boards - 27 x 21 x 10 cm! Condition: very good - very neat original binding (narrow crack in the leather at the back, small bald spots on the corners of the boards, clasps missing, corners a bit worn); very neat, compact and sturdy block (in mint condition!) ; very neat and clean pages (only the usual minuscule spots and slight browning, no other spots or stains: very neat and clean paper!). Complete.
Provided with all 4 volumes, each with its own, separate title page!
