Description from the seller
Vase: Spring Mountain over the Arita Valley
From the collection of Mr. D, Europe.
Shipped from Europe: no customs fees for EU bidders.
Porcelain vase with an ovoid body and long tapering neck. The underglaze-blue decoration depicts a snow-capped mountain landscape: in the foreground, forests rendered using the konoha‑gihō technique, whose leaf imprints form the tree canopies; in the background, mountain ridges wrapped in white clouds. The gradient from deep blue to the milky white of the neck creates a sense of atmospheric depth and spring light. Signed on the base. Delivered with its tomobako (original wooden box).
