This painting presents a natural landscape of great visual richness, featuring a quiet stream that runs through a forest full of life and color. The scene leads the eye from the serene surface of the foreground to a small house located among the trees, while in the distance a succession of mountains gently closes the horizon. The composition conveys the sense of being in a remote, quiet, and protected place, where nature envelops any human presence completely.

Water occupies a fundamental part of the lower area and acts as a mirror reflecting the trees, the sky, and the colors of the surroundings. Its surface displays violet, green, gray, yellow, and bluish tones that subtly change with the light. These variations create a pleasant sense of movement, even though the stream seems calm. The elongated reflections of the trunks establish a visual connection between the vegetation and the water, increasing the depth of the landscape.
