Sculpture, Scultura di Putto Alato sdraiato su Cuscino Capitonné (Circa anni '20-'30) - 18.5 cm - Craquelé Glazed Majolica

Refined sculpture depicting a winged putto reclining on a cushion decorated with relief capitonné motifs and tassels at the corners. The work is made in ceramic/maiolica glazed in a monochrome cream white, with a suggestive and extensive craquelé effect (craquelure of the glaze) distributed uniformly across the entire surface, typical of antique techniques.

The figure shows excellent detail: the curls of the hair, the definition of the feathers on the wings and the softness of the anatomical forms recall the classical neoclassical models revived between the early 20th century and the Art Deco period.

At the bottom there are the typical era vent holes for firing and a reinforcing ribbed structure. Although it does not bear visible signatures, the workmanship, the quality of the glaze and the base confirm the antique dating (first half of the 20th century).

Conditions: The object is in generally excellent condition, structurally intact and free of restorations. The glaze retains its original gloss with uniform craquelé.
Only two micro-chips (minimally sized) on the bottom of the front-left foot of the cushion (visible from the front lower left), and on the face (left side) are noted; these do not compromise its stability or aesthetic rendition.
