This painting presents a pond of great visual depth, surrounded by abundant vegetation and partially covered by blooming water lilies. The composition guides the eye from the blue waters of the foreground to a bright area in the distance, where the landscape seems to fade among reflections, trees and a delicately hazy atmosphere. The scene conveys an immediate sense of calm and turns the natural space into a quiet, intimate, almost imaginary refuge.

Water occupies most of the composition and becomes the true axis of the landscape. In the lower area it is dominated by a deep, intense blue, on which black, violet, green and turquoise nuances can be distinguished. As the gaze moves toward the fondo, the color becomes lighter and more luminous, creating a transition that enhances the sense of distance and makes the pond seem to extend far beyond the limits of the frame.

On the right side there is a wide cluster of floating leaves that moves from the foreground toward depth. Their rounded shapes overlap and build a natural bank of light greens, soft yellows, ochres and deep shadows.
