- cowhide leather binding on oak boards provided with blind stamping (line borders, floral motifs and medallions) and heavy brass hardware (8 corner pieces and 2 clasps - 42 x 28 x 13 cm (GREAT FOLIO)

Condition: excellent/very fine - very neat binding (as new!) with original, complete spine (rare) with very solid hinges and complete hardware with very good clasps; sturdy block, strikingly very neat and very clean, very fresh pages (small glued tear in title engraving, a few pages with a narrow strip of paper or Japanese rice paper along edge repaired, a few usual small spots and stains, in one gathering a very light moisture stain in the top margin, in some gatherings a usual light browning, at the end in some gatherings a very light spot in the inner margin: otherwise very neat and clean paper!) Complete.

[NOTE] some of the photos are yellowed by twilight and zooming, the paper is in reality very fresh!

Contains 3 title engravings, 6 title pages, portrait of Reformers, all splendid 5 maps and 138 copper engravings by Romeyn de Hooghe! The prints are provided with extensive notes or even have two large copper engravings.
