Superb hand crafted quality late 18th century solid 800 silver elegant Neo Classical large size round covered box, with finely embossed beaded friezes and acorn shaped finial
Fully hallmarked on cover and body (17)97 Genova Assay Office mark, together with silversmith's mark (a six pointed star?)

Condition report:
In fine 229 years old original condition, not perfectly round - great period patina, minor scratches, some dings, a 2,5 cm crack in bottom (Picture 18). What you see inside and outside the rim (Pictures 12 and 13) and around the foot (Picture 8) is the original soldering, and one 3 mm hole/beading missing (Picture 5) - no repairs, as you can see in pictures that are part of the description (wine bottle not included)
