Description from the seller
Pablo Picasso: “Claude with Paloma drawing, 1954”.
Dated on the plate.
Authorized offset litho.
Condition: the work is in excellent condition.
This artwork shows Pablo Picasso's two children, Claude and Paloma, sitting at a table drawing. Claude (left) is depicted in profile against a blue background, deeply focused on his drawing.
Paloma (right), she is seen from the front against a bright red background, with a distinctive round face and a bow in her hair.
The space is a deep purple, with a window in the upper left offering a view of green plants and branches.
Picasso uses flat color planes and geometric shapes to suggest depth.
The bright blue and red of the children pop against the dark purple background.
Never framed and kept in a dark archival storage area between protective acid-free paper.
