Description from the seller
The oranges and reds mingle with the taste of limoncello to create the serene atmosphere in which a naked woman gazes at the panorama, which, from her, reveals new realities.
Shipped without frame and without stretcher.
The artist Lucia Mignosa, born as Luminisa,
during the classical studies that the 60s demanded, thanks to the flamboyant teachings of a history of art professor, I knew and fell in love with that colorful world of beauty to which I have remained faithful and fascinated for life. But only subsequently, finding by chance in my hands a creative magazine of the era, lived as a window into the artistic world, following their guidance, I began to create objects to admire, ranging from art, to fashion, to objects d’art, in perpetual search and attempt to express with art enthusiasm and joy as an anthem to life. The explosion of pleasure in creating, experimenting, and persevering to express the maximum beauty drove me, despite family and work commitments and the difficulties that the 70s promised to a woman, to attend the studies of renowned Sicilian masters of art of the era, to learn as much technique and experience as possible, never losing that one weekly appointment that made me drive 70 km to reach him. And it is letting myself be inspired and transported by their excellence that I refine my vision and perfect the technique, reaching my expressive splendor in Luminisa, a stage name, of a life dedicated to the playful world of merriment, freshness, and luminosity that takes shape in the ultimate depiction of water games and bodies suspended in time in a cheerful prelude to joy. A sensibility that today I express in painting, sculpture and engravings, which have a precise purpose: to translate into broad visions of play and moments of meditation and ecstasy a meaningful reality that has always dwelt within me… Bold, bright tones, apparatus of artistic gymnastic, rings in the water, promote the concept of my emotions, bearing a playful and artistic fun of my eternal serene mood..
Selected for two consecutive years by the Luxemburg Art Prize for artistic merit (2024-2025),
Past works are part of Arianna Sartori's Collection at the Museo delle Cappuccine in Bagna Cavallo (Italy),
Disignum Collective with several works presented, International Talent show.
