“Portrait de jeune femme de profil.”
He was a pupil of his father, the painter Auguste Barthélemy Glaize, and of Jean-Léon Gérôme at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He won the second prize of the Prix de Rome for painting in 1866. He began to exhibit at the Salon from 1869. He participated in the decoration of the Salon des Arts of the Hôtel de Ville in Paris and of the wedding hall of the town hall of the 20th arrondissement. He was a member of the jury of the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français and exhibited there from 1859 to 1929.
