Description :
Very beautiful vintage decorative set consisting of two matching pieces in genuine onyx: a large amphora with two handles and an elegant ewer.
The bodies are crafted in a superb natural stone with cream, pale yellow and honey tones, with beautiful veins typical of onyx. The metal mounts in a silver-toned finish are particularly elaborate, with handles richly decorated with scroll motifs and stylized dragons.
The small ewer retains under its base its old label “ONYX VÉRITABLE”.
The set presents a very harmonious overall look and makes for a particularly elegant decoration for a classic interior, Art Deco, or cabinet of curiosities.
Condition: good vintage overall condition, with light marks and patina related to age. Color variations and the stone veining are natural.
