In this square format, Medsan frames very closely the red Kaneda motorcycle, the hero from Akira, set against a deep black background. The machine is seen from three-quarters front, tilted toward the viewer, with a massive front wheel and low fairing, as if frozen in full slide.
All the bright red bodywork is covered with tags: KANEDA in bold white letters outlined in black on the front flank, NEO-TOKYO crossing the tank, TETSUO traced in black on the edge of the fairing, the date 2019 on the dark windshield. Around it crowd gray-silver signatures, crowns, a yellow smiley, a yellow-and-black danger triangle, a blue and white round emblem, a few cyan letters. The black background and the gray tire let the red and white stand out in the frame, a light halo separating the silhouette. One can almost hear the engine just before departure.

A nerve-wracking, urban piece, ideal to bring a manga and street-art touch to a contemporary interior of a Japanese animation collector.

Under the name Medsan, he explores the world of medicine and anatomy; under the name Popsan, he revisits pop culture icons by blending pop art, Japanese art, and anachronisms.
