On this landscape format, Medsan sets a late afternoon beside a Japanese lake. On the right, Pikachu sits at the end of a dark wooden pontoon, forepaws resting before him, the tail raised like a bolt, gaze turned toward the water. Across from him, Lapras glides at the surface, long blue neck erect, cream belly, gray shell bristling with spines, its eye fixed on the little yellow Pokémon. Between the two, an orange Magikarp erupts from the water in a spray of splashes.

A red and white Poké Ball floats at the foot of the pontoon, held by a rope tied around a stake. In the distance, a white lighthouse with a red roof overlooks a point planted with dark pines, and a gray mountain closes the horizon under a sky shifting from pink to blue. About Medsan / Popsan:
Medsan and Popsan are two signatures of the same artist. Under the name Medsan, he explores the realms of medicine and anatomy; under the name Popsan, he revisits pop culture icons by blending pop art, Japanese art, and anachronisms. On Catawiki, his pop works still appear under the name Medsan, but they belong to the Popsan universe. He creates at the Atelier Joconde, a family artist workshop, alongside fellow artists Le Yack (figurative painting) and Neo Pablo (abstraction).
