Babi Bensusan - TRECE

TRECE (92 x 60 cm. Acrylic on 100% natural cotton canvas. 2024) belongs to the collection Bodegones Automáticos by the artist Babi Bensusan. An emerging, self-taught artist based in Madrid, she has held multiple solo exhibitions as well as participated in group exhibitions. Her work is included in private collections in Spain, France and the United States.

Signed on the back in oil on panel (varnished with spray). It is shipped rolled and with a hand-signed certificate of authenticity.

Bodegones Automáticos is a collection developed from 2023 to 2025. It explores different formats, painting, ceramics, mural work, and intervention. The project aimed to liberate the artist from self-censorship and blocks, leading to joyful, colorful automatic painting that places the pleasure of the process at the center.

TRECE // Always together, always apart // can be part of a diptych together with the painting CATORCE. Both works dialogue in color and composition. They function independently, as a pair. The flowers with eyes are the signature of the Bodegones Automáticos collection, seeking an intimate meeting point between the spectator and the canvas, also creating a certain sense of intrigue — are we aware that we are observers but also observed? TRECE and CATORCE have warm colors that create a welcoming atmosphere.
