Set of 6 fish cutlery in 833/1000 silver and gold metal - Javali II, Portugal, 1887–1937. Ancient Portuguese set of six fish cutlery, consisting of three knives and three forks, datable to the period of use of the Javali II contrast (1887–1937). The handles, in Portuguese silver 833/1000, feature Neoclassical-style decoration, with ribbed bodies, oval recesses, vegetal motifs and raised relief motifs. Next to the junction with the blades are the respective contrasts. The three knives have gilded blades with contoured profiles, richly engraved with representations of fish, vegetal scrolls and ornamental motifs. The three forks, also gilded, have four tines and engravings in the same inspiration, forming a particularly decorative and uncommon set. The combination of white-silver handles with gilded elements creates a visually elegant contrast, characteristic of late 19th/early 20th century dining service pieces. Shows signs of use compatible with age.
