Exceptional chess game.
A commemorative jewel of the 5th centenary of the conquest of Granada presented in a magnificent chessboard in wood with an elegant classic design and Nazarí marquetry decoration. From the board, two drawers open to store the pieces in a precious felt that has a dedicated mold for each piece. Of important dimensions, 43 cm per side and 9 cm high. Very slight signs of aging.
The refined polished pieces are handmade by the finest artisans in bronze and finished on pedestals gilded in 24-karat gold and silver. It consists of 32 pieces representing the most important figures from both sides of the Granada conquest in the 15th century. The Catholic Monarchs, Boabdil, Aixa, great Christian knights and Arab warriors. In the photographs, the porosity of their figures is apparent in great detail. They have the patina typical of bronze aged by the passage of time, giving them a personality of their own.
Special mention deserves the horses, each one different, with great detail and beauty. Like the bishops, also distinct from one another.
This is an exceptional and exclusive out-of-production artwork and difficult to obtain.
