An antique French majolica iris-shaped jug from Onnaing, circa 1900, in the Art Nouveau style, Faiencerie d'Onnaing pottery, in excellent condition.

This antique Art Nouveau majolica jug is an exceptional example of early 20th-century French craftsmanship and was produced by the renowned workshop La Faiencerie d'Onnaing around 1900.
This collectible model features beautiful relief images of irises in bloom, which stand out spectacularly against an intricate texture and a pattern reminiscent of a diaper design. In keeping with Onnaing's classic style, the exterior showcases a wonderful, rich palette of earth tones—olive green, warm ochre, and caramel brown—beautifully balanced by an interior glazed in intense raspberry pink, a distinctive feature of French jugs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The handle creates a striking architectural contrast with the flowing, organic lines of the Art Nouveau floral motifs, which display a clear geometric structure accented by an elegant molded edge.
Crafted from the lightest ceramic characteristic of Onnaing, the jug fits perfectly in the hand and is well balanced.
