The work is framed within the European tradition of 20th-century floral still life, executed in a post-impressionist manner. The loose brushwork, the simplification of forms, and the use of a muted color palette recall intimate currents of French origin, where the focus is more on atmosphere and color perception than on an academically faithful reproduction of the objects.

A sober, intimate composition still life in which, on the left, a small ochre-toned vase with a bouquet of pink roses and abundant green foliage stands out. On the right appears a box with cubic shapes, decorated with figurative and ornamental motifs, visually balancing the composition.

The objects rest on a light surface resolved with long, gestural brushstrokes in cream, pink, green, and ochre tones. The dark, poorly defined background creates depth and highlights the floral ensemble. In the upper left area, a band of blue tones opens up, providing luminosity and contrasting with the prevailing shadows.

The execution is spontaneous, with softened outlines and visible brushwork that lends the scene a melancholic and domestic atmosphere, typical of certain European post-impressionist trends of the 20th century.

The work is presented with a decorative wooden frame, honey- and brown-toned, with a very marked grain reminiscent of noble woods or root wood. Its simple, slightly bevelled profile suitably complements the painting’s warm tones.
