Bodegón de Sobremesa, an original oil on canvas still life from 1960–1970 by Escuela europea (XX) of Europe, in the realist traditional style, hand-signed and sold with frame.
Description from the seller
Title: Tabletop Still Life
School: European (20th century)
Style: Realist – traditional still life
Technique: Oil on canvas
Circle and artistic influence:
Work linked to the European tradition of realistic still life, with influences from the nature morte painting developed between the 19th and 20th centuries. The orderly composition, the precision in the representation of the fruits and the treatment of reflections and volumes point to an academic conception of the genre, adapted to a decorative execution typical of the 20th century.
Classic-composition still life arranged on a horizontal surface, featuring a wine bottle partially wrapped with vegetal fiber, surrounded by different fruits. On both sides appear clusters of black and white grapes, accompanied by a pear and an apple deposited on a ceramic container.
The composition is completed with small fruits scattered on the table and grape leaves that add dynamism to the scene. The background, resolved in dark and earthy tones, creates a marked contrast with the greens, reds, yellows and purples of the represented elements.
The technique shows special attention to the shine of the grapes, the volume of the fruits and the different textures of the ceramic, glass and the bottle’s coating. Lateral lighting and chiaroscuro provide depth to the whole, maintaining a sober and traditional aesthetic.
Observations:
Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to causes such as being outside a continental territory, excessive dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will in no case cover this surcharge.
The courier that must pass through the Swiss border can be delayed much more than normal, so, if possible, to speed up processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so the customer can unlock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties.
The work may incur damage during transport even if properly packaged. In that case, we will need photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority.
Due to the high volume of shipments it is possible that the order is delayed more than three days, so we apologize and thank you for your patience. If you have any questions about your order, please contact us via internal messaging.
Dimensions: 50 x 40 cm
