2023 Chateau d'Yquem 'Y' Ygrec - Bordeaux - 1 Magnum (1.5L)

The 2023 Y recalls the beginnings of Y, when Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon were blended in equal measure; an alliance marked by subtlety. At the first moments of tasting, a multitude of leafy notes unfold, evoking lemon leaves, sage, and verbena. Then emerge aromas of yellow fruit, a balance between the sweetness of a crisp pear and the restraint of a freshly picked white peach. As the minutes pass, the wine reveals its floral impressions, a delicate composition of wild rose and peony blossoms. On the palate, this Y is vibrant, with a lively attack supported by notes of citron and yellow kiwi, dense and smooth like a white melon in early summer. Beautiful bitterness of yellow grapefruit extends its chalky and flavorful finish, of great depth and elegance.
