NAILED BOULES

With copper, bronze and steel nails
The nails were quite valuable.
With these boules, the well-to-do citizens (the bourgeoisie) played.
Due to heavy use, many of the nails’ heads broke off.
These boules are fairly rare.
The core is boxwood root wood that is covered with nails.
It was made by hand and hammered, usually by women.

They weigh 920 and 900 grams.
The diameters are 10 centimeters.
