Eight-piece vintage mid-century modern service set in Empoli green glass with woven midollino, dating to 1960–1970 and made in Toscana, Italy, measuring 28 x 16 x 10 cm with good used condition and minor signs of age and marks.
Description from the seller
This splendid vintage dinnerware set is a classic example of Mid-Century Modern craftsmanship from the 60s/70s, typical of the Italian glassmaking tradition of Empoli (often identified as Vetro Verde di Empoli) or inspired by colonial and barware styles of designers such as Carl Auböck and Illum Bolighus. The set consists of:
- Main pitcher/cruet in green bottle-blown glass with a geometric pourer and integrated handle.
- Coordinated ice bucket, featuring a distinctive braided cord handle.
- Six tall glasses (tumblers) perfect for water, soft drinks, or summer cocktails.
- All elements are finished at the bottom with a removable wicker/rattan sleeve in dark brown, designed both to provide a secure grip and to prevent condensation from slipping, as well as to keep drinks cool.
