Beautiful homogeneous set of two small devotion or cabinet statuettes in densified-art plaster, featuring a superb gray and brown surface patina imitating the charm of ancient carved stone. The lot consists of: The Virgin in the Chair (Madonna della Sedia) after the masterwork by Raphael, depicting Mary, the Infant Jesus and Saint John the Baptist as a child. The Holy Family, featuring Saint Joseph, the Virgin Mary and the sleeping Infant Jesus.
As with all my items put up for auction on this site, this marvel has undergone no cleaning (only dusting) nor modification since its purchase
