Sculpture, Squid - 9 cm - Glass

Murano glass lamp-work sculpture depicting a cuttlefish, created by Master Tagliapietra Fabio. The body (mantle) is molded in amber/tortora glass with brown streaks and iridescent reflections, while the tentacles, in transparent glass shaded with gold, coil in a spiral motion. The base is composed of rough-cut glass slabs in bold colors – red, cobalt blue and a gold insert – that simulate a rocky seabed formation.
